Some of the most pressing scientific issues of today lie at the intersection of the biological, physical, chemical, engineering, social and economic sciences. Enhanced inter-disciplinary research collaborations foster the type of synergies in research, teaching, mentoring and outreach that make NC&#160;State a destination for the best and brightest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty within NC&#160;State University\u2019s Coastal and Marine Sciences Program are based in various home departments, as well as NC&#160;State\u2019 coastal facility in Morehead City \u2014&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/cmast.ncsu.edu\/\">CMAST<\/a>. Undergraduate and graduate students interested in degree programs are encouraged to visit the web-sites of a given department shown below to see which degree programs best match their interests. There are tremendous learning opportunities for students via use of cutting-edge technologies and analytical approaches, sophisticated modeling capabilities, and participation in inter-disciplinary research programs that include expertise from other universities, state and federal agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
