Bio

Gabby is the veterinary assistant for the North Carolina Aquariums (NCA), and travels to all NCA locations alongside the vet team, helping with all the animal clinical needs that arise. This includes taking radiographs, processing bloodwork, and helping out with routine and sick exams. Occasionally wounded and/or stranded animals (like sea turtles) will be brought into CMAST, and Gabby also helps with those. Between all three
aquariums and CMAST, every day is different, which is Gabby’s favorite part – it keeps the job fun and exciting! Gabby’s favorite animals are sea turtles, and she loves how frequently she gets to see them/work with them!
