Three veterinarians recently performed microsurgery on a sea turtle at the NC State Center for Marine Sciences and Technology (CMAST).  The female turtle lives at the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium and had some eggs that she was unable to lay on her own.  According to NC Aquariums and CMAST vet, Emily Christiansen, “We [spayed] her to prevent problems in the future.  She’ll go back to the aquarium for recovery.”
