CMAST Director’s Research Featured by Global One Health Academy

Congratulations to Dr. David Eggleston, NC State University professor and director of the Center for Marine Sciences and Technology, whose research has been featured by the NC State Global One Health Academy.  Eggleston says his work focuses on methods to sustain and restore the health of marine and coastal ecosystems to maintain and support coastal economies.  Last fall, he received a Faculty Travel Award from the Global One Health Academy, which allowed him to travel to Northern Italy.  The purpose of the trip, says Eggleston, was to assess the negative effects that blue crabs are having on the clamming industry in Northern Italy and to consider ways in which to create a blue crab fishery there to help mitigate this problem.  Read more about Eggleston and his research.
