The NC State Center for Marine Sciences and Technology (CMAST) said farewell to its
Summer Fellows last week, following the students’ research project presentations. The
Summer Fellows Program, established in 2005, provides undergraduate students with
mentored opportunities to design independent research projects and gain hands-on
experiences in marine sciences. At the end of the ten-week program, students write a
final report and give oral presentations of their results.
